"Hey Kotone, what's your most memorable moment as a Pokemon trainer?" Silver asked his happy go lucky rival, in an attempt to break an awkward silence that was in Kotone's room back at New Bark Town.

"Huh? Oh... let's see." Kotone thought back through all of her adventures through the Johto and Kanto region, looking back on many events. Suddenly, her expression went from one of pondering to one of a happy nostalgia. "For me, it was probably when Bayleef first evolved into Meganium. She was the most beautiful and majestic Pokemon that I have ever seen."

Silver looked away with a half disgusted look on his face. "Really? That's so girly..." He readjusted himself, sitting in a more comfortable position in Kotone's room, though not much could hide the fact that he was nervous.

"Oh, what is your most memorable moment then, Silver?" Kotone replied slightly annoyed that Silver was poking fun at her. Sure, she was an easy target to poke fun at, but he didn't have to do so.

With a smug look on his face, Silver simply replied with, "It hasn't happened yet." "Why not?" Kotone asked in a puzzled way, after all, how can a Pokemon trainer not have a most treasured moment? "My most memorable will come the day that I finally defeat you in a battle." With a look of fire in his eyes, egging on his rival.

"Is that a challenge then?" Kotone began to smile, she knew that Silver was one of the only trainers left that could be a challenge to her with her roster. "I haven't been training with my Pokemon nearly as much since I defeated Red. I could really use a battle so that we don't end up getting rusty." Silver merely chuckled at Kotone's statement, realizing that she had slacked off in the weeks since returning home from the Kanto region. He stood up and grabbed Kotone's wrist, "Well then, let's have a Pokemon battle now to see who really is stronger."

Silver and Kotone went out into the backyard, cleaned things up a bit, since the changing from summer to fall had left leaves all over the place. Finally, the battle began, a full six on six, no time limits, whoever runs out of Pokemon first type of battle. It lasted for quite a while, at least an hour. However, in the end Kotone defeated Silver, with her Lucario as her last Pokemon standing. "You fought well Silver! You've gotten a lot better since the last time we met. You really seem to be bonding well with your Pokemon, and it's only made you stronger. I better keep practicing otherwise one of these days you really will beat me."

"So..." Silver sat down on the grass, and started poking at the ground with a stick, much like that of a small child, "Now that you are the champion of Johto, and you defeated Kanto's champion, Red, what are you going to do now? Are you planning on staying home?" Silver looked almost disappointed after he asked the question, mostly not wanting to have his rival, his friend, stop traveling and training.

"Actually, I'm planning on heading out to the Sinnoh region in a couple of days," Kotone said with a half smile, "I'm planning on starting over, and I'm going to try to get on of the starter Pokemon there. I've been talking to Professor Rowan, and he said it shouldn't be much a problem, that there aren't going to be many new trainers in the next few weeks." Kotone walked around a little bit in the grass, looking for a place to sit comfortably. Almost as soon as she sat down, she curled herself up into a ball and buried her head. "But, I'm scared, I've never been so far away from home before, and the fact that I'm going alone scares me."

Silver was stunned, every time that he had been with Kotone, she was always a happy go lucky person, always smiling and giving everything her all. She had never shown him any signs of worry, but for her to admit she was scared? Silver lowered his head and turned his head away, with a tint of red growing across his cheeks he muttered, "Well... what if you didn't go alone?" Silver continued to draw small patterns in the ground with the twig, embarrassed of what he said.

"What...?" Kotone said looking in his direction with smalls tears in the corner of her eyes, "Would you really go to Sinnoh with me?" "Yeah..." Silver sighed, not believing the mess that he got himself into. Why did he have to open his mouth? He shouldn't have to care for Kotone, after all they are rivals, why should it matter if she's too much of a baby to leave her home? More importantly, why was he becoming flushed at this scenario?

"Thank you so much!" Silver broke out of his train of thought, only to look up to see Kotone running over to hug him, "I feel a lot better knowing that you can come along too!" Silver snapped out of his state of shock realizing that Kotone just basically thrown herself on him. He became flustered, and lost his sense of patience. "Hey, Kotone get off! What are you doing anyway?!" She stopped and thought about what she just did, and laughed. "Sorry Silver, it's just that I was so scared of being alone, that I got too excited just now."

"Well yeah, whatever, could you just let go of me now?" Silver boasted trying to get Kotone to let go. Once she realized what she was doing, Kotone nervously jumped up and nervously laughed off what had just happened. "Sorry, guess I got a little carried away. If you are going to go to Sinnoh too, then I don't have anything to worry about. Oh, and just so you know, there's only one ship that goes to the Sinnoh region each month, and it's leaving from Olivine City in three days, I think it leaves at noon, but I'll have to double check. I'll call my mom and ask, I'll be back in a few minutes, my PokeGear is up in my room." Kotone ran back into her home and shut the door. Almost right after, a loud thud could be heard, "Oww, I don't remember that chair being there!"

Silver chuckled at the klutziness of Kotone, but after he slowly lowered his head, for some reason everything that Kotone said was bothering him, he felt as if Kotone was still unsure of going so far away from home. I've spent most of my life away from home, so the thought of going to Sinnoh doesn't bother me. But for Kotone... that baby has always been able to go home to her mother, I can see why she's scared. Wait, why do I even care anyway about this? "...ver, SILVER!!!" Kotone yelled at the top of her lungs before Silver snapped into reality, "You don't have to yell, what is it?" Kotone sighed, "well, if you weren't in la la land, I wouldn't have to yell. I talked to my mom and the boat leaves at noon on Sunday. I think that I'm going to stay here until Sunday morning, and then fly to Olivine with Pidgeot." Silver looked surprised, "You're bringing your team with you?" "Yeah," Kotone smiled and nodded, "The ship has its own battle area in it, so I'd like to take on some of the trainers."

"Whatever, I'm going, I guess I'll see you in Olivine on Sunday." Silver got up and started to walk off. I can't believe I even agreed to go with her, I'm becoming soft. As Silver walked out of sight, Kotone had a surprised look on her face, "Silver actually seemed generally concerned," Kotone smiled, "He's really changed a lot since I first met him, I'm glad. Well, I guess I should pack. Now all I can do is wait until Sunday."

Chapter 3: In Progress.

:slow: omg, I cannot think of a title to save my LIFE for this. So apparently I'm writing a fanfiction. I don't know if I am going to ever complete it, but the fact that I'm writing is a good sign, it's been quite a while. So I may be a bit rusty.

This is a SoulSilver Shipping fanfic thingy. It takes place post HG/SS and stuff. I was originally going to have this take place in Hoenn, but then I remembered that I didn't know shit about that region, so I chose Sinnoh since I know the Pokemon, the gym leaders, and blah blah blah.

So yeah, if anyone has any better ideas for the title of this, be my guest and suggest. I suck at thinking of titles.

And Kotone's team at this point is going to be based off of my current team, but don't worry most of the Pokemon are known. :D

:B Sorry if it sucks, I haven't written anything in so long. But I'm having so much fun writing this, that I really don't have any plans to stop any time soon... hopefully, but I change my interest a lot.
