As part of Project Educate, some questions were put together for some of the wonderful Manga/Anime artists in our community. And so, today I bring you the first of the interviews! :squee:

Today we feature GarasudamA

:bulletgreen:1.) To start off, what is your favorite medium and tools to use?
First of all I want to excuse myself for any lenguage mistake.
Well My favorite media is Traditional art, because it's what I've been working with since I was 5 (21now). I specially like color pencils, is what I feel more comfortable with.

:bulletgreen:2.) When you draw, do you plan everything out first, or do you just see where the drawing takes you?

For me drawing is about both. Sometimes I plan it with my mind, seems everything will turn on perfectly but it doesn't, and it ends up being something totally different. So i should say both, but I like more saying "that the drawing takes me to where it wants to go".

:bulletgreen:3.) On average, how long do you spend on a drawing?

I usually take between 2 up to 5 hours, depending on the difficulties of the drawing. Isn't the same a little "chibi" than a portrait drawing with background to make.

:bulletgreen:4.) When did you first start drawing, and what made you start to draw in the manga/anime style?

My first draw was at the age of 5, was a piggy drawing OMG!. I started liking anime at age of 7, since that moment I just felt that I had to draw that although my parents sometimes tried to took me into other direction such as realism or nature drawings, but I just keep on working on it and now they like my style.

:bulletgreen:5.) What are your inspirations for drawing?

I had many inspiration throughout the years. First was anime such as Sailor Moon, Magic Knight reyearth, Aika naked mission, Orphen, and many more.
With years I just realized that I was more into drawing fashion and singing in japanese more than regular magical characters, so I got inspired in j-fashion/music such as harajuku/visual kei/lolita , etc.
Now mmy horizons have grown with experience in university and I'm open to new inspirations (for e.g designing fashion for lady gaga).

:bulletgreen:6.) Do you have any artists that you look up to?

I'm afraid I'm not looking at someone in particullar. At a momment were the visual kei bands, now maybe could be lady gaga, but i'm not pretty sure about my present.
If you meant about artists in DA, I don't have one, I'm very picky with art.

:bulletgreen:7.) Out of the works in your gallery, what are your five favorite pieces?

I like many, but I can list them:
- :thumb183463565:
- GarasuDama by kiri-chan1990
- Dear White by Karura-Kun
- Needle into a bug by Blinddaoine
- :thumb86714316:
Because they' been made with love..and crazyness. I can't believe I got so many presents from people.

:bulletgreen:8.) Do you have any tips for young aspiring artists?

PRACTICE, everytime you can. And when you achieve it and you grow up and you see you've more and more responsabilities, try to organize your life so you never leave drawing to aside.Happened to me and I had many "crisis".

:bulletgreen:9.) Are there any other types of art that enjoy?

I like music. I have fun singing and also "dancing" haha. But talking about plastic arts I like sculptures maybe.

:bulletgreen:10.) Is there anything else that you would like to add?

I think i've talked too much already. But I'm very glad for having been chosen between many talented artists here on the site. So thanks again! KISSES FROM ARGENTINA!!!!! :3
